Jason Whitlock Sparks Controversy Over “Angry Black Women, Exciting Whites” Take on Caitlin Clark vs A’ja Wilson WNBA Rivalry After Roster Moves

Jason Whitlock has once again ignited controversy with his latest remarks about the WNBA, framing the league’s rising rivalry between Caitlin Clark and A’ja Wilson through a racial lens. Just days after he called Clark a “woke idiot.”, Whitlock claimed that the WNBA has ‘manipulated their offseason’ to create a dynamic similar to the historic Larry Bird vs. Magic Johnson NBA rivalry—except, in his view, with an underlying racial conflict.

“The WNBA has manipulated their offseason, in a way, so they actually have a Boston Celtics Larry Bird, Los Angeles Lakers Magic Johnson rivalry, in the WNBA,” Whitlock said. “You’re gonna have A’ja Wilson, who is arguably the best player in the WNBA, and she represents that woke, ‘Yass queen, why aren’t I being worshipped enough,’ angry black women. And then on the other side, you’re gonna have Caitlin Clark and the exciting whites…And you’re going to have this racial conflict – the exciting whites, the angry blacks, the television ratings are going to be massive.”

However, many fans didn’t agree with his statements, as they took to the comment section of the post to share their views. One fan, pointing out that he never cared about the color of the player, stated, “I’m a white guy from Los Angeles. Magic was my guy and Bird was the bad guy. Period. End of story. Never gave a flying F what skin color they had.”

Whereas, another fan, debunking the Bird-Johnson rivalry, said, “Interesting. I lived in SoCal as a kid/teenager In the 80s. I never saw Magic and Bird as a race rivalry at all. It was Lakers and Celtics. That’s it.”

Furthermore, a fan called-out Whitlock and wrote, “You are a ReTArD.” However, not everyone disagreed with Whitlock’s controversial take, as many came forward to support it too.

Agreeing with his statements, a fan wrote, “This is true. Most people don’t understand how racism fueled the rise of the NBA in the 80s.” Moreover, another wrote, “You are always entertaining😂👏.”
