Steve Kerr Provides Key Update on Draymond Green’s Return Timeline Amid Warriors’ Struggles

The Golden State Warriors, led by Steve Kerr, suffered a crushing 130-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday at the Chase Center. As the team continues to struggle with consistency, fans were given a glimmer of hope during the post-game interview when Kerr provided an encouraging update on Draymond Green’s return.

When an interviewer asked about Green’s status, Kerr revealed that the veteran forward resumed scrimmaging and expects to rejoin the lineup soon. While the ‘when?’ remains uncertain, Kerr emphasized that Green is making progress.

“He scrimmaged today,” Steve Kerr said. “He will practice with us tomorrow. We are expecting him to play sometime next week sometime, not sure which game, but we will see how he comes up. He scrimmaged and did fine. So, he is on the right track.”

Green has missed the past seven games because of a calf strain he sustained during a matchup against the Washington Wizards. In his absence, the Warriors have lost four games, highlighting his crucial role in the team’s success. Without Green, Golden State has struggled to maintain its defensive intensity and playmaking efficiency.

Before the injury, Green was averaging 8.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game, serving as the team’s defensive anchor. His return could provide the much-needed stability the Warriors have been missing on both ends of the floor.
