Kevin Love never misses an opportunity to keep things light in Miami, even when tensions run high. With Jimmy Butler’s second suspension finally in the rearview, Love took to Instagram to take a humorous jab at Butler’s highly anticipated comeback to the Heat lineup.
With Butler all set to come out from his suspension on Monday, Kevin Love posted a memorable scene from the 1995 classic Casino, featuring Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro. In the clip, Pesci’s character, Nicky, heatedly confronts De Niro’s Sam in a desolate desert showdown. The 6-foot-8 Power Forward captioned the post with, “How Jimmy’s pulling up on me after the suspension…”
The post immediately gained traction, with fans and players chiming in as they couldn’t control their laughter. And among them was NBA legend LeBron James, who commented on the post with, “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.”
The Miami Heat have already suspended Butler twice, including a recent two-game suspension after he missed the team’s flight to Milwaukee. Previously, the team issued a seven-game suspension for his disregard of team rules and conduct deemed detrimental to the organization.
