Shaquille O'Neal and Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart Roasts Shaq at NBA All-Star Game: “Why Are You Dressed Like a P*rn Director?”

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game brought plenty of excitement on the court, but comedian Kevin Hart stole the spotlight with his sharp wit. During the live broadcast, Hart playfully took aim at NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, quipping, “Why are you dressed like a p*rn director?”

However, never one to back down, Shaq quickly fired back with a classic one-liner: “And why do you get your outfit at Kids ‘R’ Us?” This exchange is nothing new for Hart and O’Neal, who have built a reputation for lighthearted jabs over the years. Hart has famously impersonated Shaq in stand-up routines, while O’Neal has never hesitated to return the favor with his signature humor.

Back in 2017, Hart even parodied Shaq’s deep voice and slow speech during a Saturday Night Live skit, much to the delight of fans. However, the comedian’s bold remarks have divided fans, with some finding them hilarious and others questioning their appropriateness on national TV.

Fans react to the comments by Kevin Hart

While Hart and Shaq’s back-and-forth entertained many, not all viewers enjoyed Hart’s presence on the All-Star Game broadcast. Some fans took to social media to express their frustrations with Hart’s witty humor. One fan wrote, “Yoooo the NBA got some questionable performances with their mic hosts tonight,” suggesting that not all viewers received Hart’s commentary well. Another simply called it “Cringe, not gonna lie.”

Whereas, another fan predicted, “They not bringing him back lmao.” However, while some criticized Hart’s jokes, many fans enjoyed his comedic presence, praising his ability to bring energy and entertainment to the broadcast.

“I want more of that lol,” one fan wrote, clearly thrilled by the unexpected yet entertaining moment that had just unfolded on national television. Whereas, another fan commented, “Saying this on national television is insane 💀,” perfectly capturing the shock and awe of those witnessing the unfiltered, bold statement.
