Ja Morant Clutch Jumper Seals Grizzlies’ Victory Over Timberwolves

The Ja Morant-led Memphis Grizzlies locked horns with Anthony Edwards-led Minnesota Timberwolves this Saturday night, in a game filled with intense back-and-forth action. And the Grizzlies vs. the Timberwolves didn’t fail to deliver a nail-biter that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final seconds of the game. Both teams showcased their offensive firepower and defensive grit, trading baskets throughout the contest. However, with the game tied in the closing seconds, one player stepped up to showcase why he was considered a clutch performer.

With 25 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and the score deadlocked at 125-125, the Grizzlies prepared for a crucial sideline inbound play. Morant in-bounded the ball and swiftly reclaimed it from his teammate, setting up a clutch shot over Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards. The arena erupted as Morant’s basket gave the Grizzlies a critical two-point lead with just 18 seconds remaining on the clock.

With possession now in the hands of the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards attempted two three-point shots to reclaim the lead. However, both attempts missed their mark, and as the final buzzer sounded, the Grizzlies celebrated their 25th win of the season.

As the season progresses, one question lingers in the minds of fans: Can Ja Morant lead his team to claim this season’s championship?

Performance of Ja Morant and the Grizzlies’ season so far

The Grizzlies have played 39 matches so far in the ongoing 2024-25 NBA season, out of which they have won 25 of them and lost 14, propelling them to third place in the Western Conference. However, out of these 39 matches, Morant has only played 22 games. This season has been a rough year for Morant as he had to suffer from a lot of injuries, which led him to change his approach to his games, playing a little on the safer side.
