Anthony Davis Downplays LeBron James’ Jaw-Dropping Dunk: “I’ve Seen Better”

LeBron James turned 40 just a month ago, and while many players his age have retired, James continues to break societal norms as he is still as unstoppable as ever. In a recent matchup against the Washington Wizards, the Los Angeles Lakers secured a sweet victory with a final score of 111-88. Yet, this win wasn’t the highlight of the night, as fans jumped to their feet when James delivered a jaw-dropping dunk that will spark conversations for decades.

During the match, James threw down a thunderous dunk over Jonas Valančiūnas after an alley-oop pass from Austin Reaves. However, Anthony Davis humorously downplayed the dunk in a post-game locker-room interview. He said, “It wasn’t one of his best ones … I’ve seen better.”

James, overhearing Anthony Davis’ comment, responded from the background with a tone of clear disappointment, saying, “It be your own friends.” Despite the playful jab from his teammate, James’s performance on the court that night was anything but ordinary. Recording a triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists, LeBron James played a pivotal role in helping the Lakers secure their another win of the season.
