The Las Vegas Aces has made a major move by bringing in WNBA star Jewell Loyd, and A’ja Wilson couldn’t be more excited. In a recent ESPN press release, Wilson, the reigning WNBA MVP and leader of the back-to-back champion Aces, expressed her enthusiasm for adding Loyd, one of the league’s most elite scorers.
“Jewell is a complete dog on both sides of the floor,” Wilson said. “And that is something we obviously need.”
Loyd, who spent her entire career with the Seattle Storm before making the move to Las Vegas, brings championship experience and a dynamic two-way skill set. Her ability to create her own shot, stretch the floor, and play tenacious defense makes her a perfect fit for the Aces, who recently traded Kelsey Plum.
Furthermore, with A’ja Wilson and Jewell Loyd now teaming up, the Aces are poised to maintain their dominance in the WNBA, making them an even bigger threat in the upcoming season.

However, Loyd is just as excited about teaming up with Wilson and the Aces. In an interview with KTNV Las Vegas, the WNBA star shared her enthusiasm for the move.
“It’s not too often you get to play with your friends,” Loyd said. “I think the way they play fits exactly with how I want to play — fast, quick, and you’re able to just be yourself, so knowing that we already have a relationship off of the court is definitely going to elevate our relationship on the court.”
