Angel Reese Shuts Down New Year’s Eve Critics With an Iconic Clapback

Angel Reese never fails to clap back at her haters in the most iconic ways, earning a reputation for her unapologetic attitude. Whether it’s breaking barriers in sports or turning heads with her bold style, Reese knows how to make a statement. However, Reese recently found herself under fire again for her fashion choice, but the Chi Barbie didn’t let it slide.

This New Year’s Eve, she had to face a lot of criticism from her haters for wearing a revealing dress, and just eight days later, Reese had the last laugh. Adding to her long list of accolades, Reese recently broke barriers and made history by becoming the first-ever athlete in the WNBA to be featured on Vogue magazine’s cover in their winter edition. And to celebrate this huge achievement and also clap back at her haters, she took to her X, formerly known as Twitter, account to post a message for her critics. Reese wrote, “I “covered up” and gave y’all COVERGIRL. 💋”

With this one tweet, she silenced her critics and reminded the world why everyone calls her Unapologetic Reese. As the “Chi Barbie” keeps breaking barriers, one thing is clear: Angel Reese isn’t just playing the game—she’s changing it.

Notably, with the Unrivaled League just a few days away from kicking off, fans can’t wait to see their star player back on the court.

Angel Reese gears up for the upcoming 3X3 league

The Chi Barbie’s 2024 WNBA season ended in September, when a devastating wrist injury ruled her out. However, the fans didn’t have to wait much to see her step back on the court because of the newly launched 3X3 women’s basketball league, where 36 of the best women hoopers in the WNBA will represent their respective clubs. She will play for the Rose Basketball Club, where she will play with teammates Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper, Azurá Stevens, and Lexie Hull.
